Jajarkot, though scarred by hardship, has seen a glimmer of hope. Warming Hearts’ continuous food supply and security program has eased the immediate burden of hunger, allowing the community to focus on a new kind of nourishment – the hunger for education.
Warming Hearts Cancer Centre has found its place to stand tall and shelter childhood cancer patients and their families from remote Nepal with compassionate support; it has found its residents who’ve arrived holding the hands of their children to Kathmandu for their cancer treatment
If only we could capture the innocence of the curiosity sparkling in their eyes! As we handed them the books, notebooks, pens, and paper, the eager grasp of their little hands seemed to embody their daily thirst for knowledge.
We shared our experiences and the impact of our work, while the students provided insightful perspectives and innovative ideas to contribute to the fight against childhood cancer.
